After a long, taxing day at work, you can’t beat coming home to a big old hug. Especially true for the more than 360 staff at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital, the Maitland Valley Family Medical Centre and DynaCare who have endured stress associated with being on the frontline during the pandemic.
A hug may be out of the question, but a warm, comfy blanket will do the trick, says Kimberly Payne, who explains the Hygge Hug Blanket Campaign.
Payne, executive director of the AMGH Foundation, adds it’s a way for the community to say thanks through a $50 blanket donation.
