The Province of Ontario is forecasting a bad flu season this year. Early reports from Australia show unusually high activity for this time of year.
Associate Medical Officer of Health at the Middlesex-London Health Unit, Dr. Alex Summers, says Australia has always been a good indicator for what’s to expect in North America.
Dr. Summers adds that getting a flu vaccine is always the best course of action for flu seasons.
He says it’s the number one way to fight off influenza. Flu Season typically starts in the fall and winter months.
