A Climate Change Officer has been hard at work since May for South Huron as she works to develop a course of action in addressing infrastructure construction in an increasingly warming world.
Mayor George Finch says Stacey Jeffery’s role is necessary now more than ever.
Finch said they can potentially save lots of money down the line on repairing infrastructure costs if they change the way they develop it in response to climate conditions.
Jeffery’s two year contract became an option to the municipality following federal funding.
