The streets in the town of Seaforth were packed Thursday morning to greet local hockey player Ryan O’Reilly and the Stanley Cup.
O’Reilly helped lead the St. Louis Blues to their first Stanley Cup and captured the Conn Smythe for the playoffs most valuable player.
Huron East Mayor Bernie MacLellan says he estimates at least 2000 people were out to celebrate the parade. MacLellan says this parade is a big deal for the local community.
The celebration will be continuing this afternoon with a parade in Goderich at 1 PM. Stay with myFM as we continue our O’Reilly parade coverage.
