A deal has been reached between Bruce Power and the union representing 1,200 workers. The Society of United Professionals Bruce Local announced the agreement this morning (MON).
Union representatives are recommending the new CBA to its members.
The Union’s Vice-President Mike Gade says talks have been going on for weeks but is glad to have a new deal in place. He say it means there will be labour peace at the Bruce site for the foreseeable future.
The deal still needs to be ratified by both parties and the union will be holding their vote at the end of the month. Gade believes the agreement addresses the needs his members wanted the union to address.
