For the first time in its 45 year history, the Blyth Festival Art Gallery will present a pre-Christmas display and sale of art and craft-related items that shoppers can take home with them the same day.
In conjunction with the Blyth Festival’s production of A Huron County Christmas Carol, the Gallery will be open during box office hours from November 28th to December 22nd.
Each exhibiting artist will have either an 8 foot table or 5 feet of wall space to show their work, whether it be painting, print-making, textiles, wood, sculpture, photography, ceramics or other media.
If you’re an artists interested in participating, email blythfestivalartgallery@gmail.com for a poster listing details.
Applications, including photographs of recent work, must be sent to that same address no later than September 7, then a selection committee will choose participants on the basis of quality of work and professional presentation.
The Gallery will deduct a 30% commission on all sales, the proceeds of which will go to the Blyth Festival as a fund-raising project.
