London North MPP Terrance Kernohan blasted Premier Doug Ford and the Conservative government for going ahead with municipal cuts in 2020.
The NDP seat holder says he attended the Association of Municipalities of Ontario conference in Ottawa and heard of the fear spreading among municipal leaders, especially when it comes to now being responsible with paying for 30% of their respective health care services.
Kernohan says there’s going to be “so much human cost,” to these cuts which include day care services. Municipalities are picking up 20% of that tab, as the province continues to look for ways to trim the deficit.
The MPP says the Tories are continuing to “plow ahead with their destructive vision.”
