Since 2016, Perth County intersections have seen close to 2000 collision resulting in 15 fatalities. This summer alone eight people have died on Perth County roadways.
On Thursday (August 22nd) the OPP unveiled their new campaign called Stop, Look and Look Again.
The campaign aims to reduce the number of collisions, especially at rural intersections.
Posters are being hung at public facilities, the OPP will be promoting the campaign on social media, and officers will be handing out cards at RIDE checkpoints.
Almost one-third of collisions have been caused by a motorist who entered an intersection before it was safe to proceed.
