There were four local games in the Provincial Junior Hockey League over the weekend.
The Lucan Irish are looked good over the weekend, as they shutout Petrolia 4-0 on Friday, before getting two goals from Ethan Roche on Sunday to beat Wingham 4-2.
The North Middlesex Stars meanwhile were not as lucky. The Stars lost 6-3 on Saturday before tying Mooretown 3-3 on Sunday.

Four local games in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League over the weekend.
Former Exeter Hawks forward, Cater McLlwain scored again for Listowel on Friday as the Cyclones beat Strathroy 4-1. Also on Friday, Stratford beats St. Marys 4-1.
On Sunday, Listowel would beat Strathroy 2-1, while the St. Marys Lincolns beat Cambridge 2-1.

The Ontario University Athletics Conference football season got underway over the weekend. Locally the Western Mustangs from London were in action.
Western only trailed for one quarter and ended up beating Wilfrid Laurier 32-19.
