With school almost back in session routines are being set for children and parents alike as life once more surrounds the school schedule. With the days of late bedtimes and sleeping in being almost over, that also means more of a structured eating habit will settle in as well.
Christine Callaghan is a Registered Dietician with the Middlesex London Health Unit, and says to make healthy eating exciting, getting your child involved in the process goes a long way.
Callaghan says to talk to your children as well often about if you’re sending too much or not enough food with them to school, and of course starting the day with a breakfast is important to help them focus during those first few hours of any given school day.
