The provincial government introduced a new tax credit in their 2019 budget and they’re reminding parents of it now that summer is all but over.
The Childcare Access and Relief from Expenses (CARE) tax credit saves families some money says Lambton-Kent-Middlesex MPP Monte McNaughton.
The tax credit is eligible to be applied to summer, day, and sports camps, and public or private child care.
Families will receive an average of $1,250 per child. That average will be higher for families with a dependant dealing with a severe disability, with no age restrictions. You’re eligible if your home income is less than $150,000 per year.
