On August 28, 2019 at approximately 6:50 p.m., members of the West Perth OPP responded to a traffic complaint regarding a possible impaired driver in Mitchell.
Witnesses contacted police after observing a motor vehicle swerving in its lane.
Officers responded and located the motor vehicle near by. when speaking with the female driver, officers determined she was in-fact impaired. The driver was arrested and transported to the Sebringville OPP detachment for further testing.
Mwange SAMPA, 23-years-old, of West Perth was arrested and charged with Impaired driving and with driving over the legal limit.
She is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Stratford on September 16, 2019 to answer the charges.
The female driver had her driver’s licence seized and a 90 Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension was imposed. The motor vehicle was towed and impounded by statute.
