It was a day of learning and excitement for students and community members. South Huron District High School held an Eco Exeter event on Thursday and four local schools, along with SHDHS students, eco groups and community members took in the event.
The ABCA, Bluewater Recycling, the Huron County Health Unit, and Hanson, from Hanson’s Your Independent Grocer, did separate presentations.
During Mike Hanson’s presentation, he made a huge announcement which Amanda Keller who is a teacher at South Huron District High School and helps students run Eco Exeter shared with us.
Hanson will be sending the group $500 dollars.
Eco Exeter challenged the participating schools to make a difference of their own. The group will be having the schools back sometime in November to discuss their plans.
