Lucan’s Crest Support Services is holding their first annual Walk-A-Thon for mental health on Saturday, October 5th.
Employees, residents and the community will walk from the Crest location at 13570 Elginfield Road in Lucan to Fanshawe Park Road and Hyde Park Road all in support of mental health.
Reena Prashar is the Coordinator of the Vocational Programming and Fundraising Services at Crest Support Services and says all the proceeds raised go back the Crest.
Prashar says staff have gone to surrounding areas and have already raised $8000 before the walk. Crest is an organization that supports adults with serious mental illness and developmental disabilities.
Anyone interested or attending the walk-a-thon can mail or drop off your donation at Crest Support Services (13570 Elginfield Road, Lucan, ON N0M 2J0) or arrange for your donation to be picked up.
