Local farmer and environmental activist, Tony McQuail, is hoping to be your next Member of Parliament.
The NDP candidate for Huron-Bruce ran for the first time in 1980, and has been a member of the Huron Federation of Agriculture, Huron National Farmer’s Union, and was a founding member of the Ecological Farmers Association of Ontario.
McQuail says his campaign boils down to three big Rs.
He adds that the main issues he’s heard from constituents is climate change, the cost of living, and affordable housing. McQuail says his party is working on creative solutions to these problems, such as proper management of agriculture.
The other candidates running in this election include Conservative Ben Lobb, Liberal Allan Thompson, Green Party’s Nicholas Wendler, and People’s Party’s Kevin Klerks.
