South Huron council has decided to keep the status quo when it comes to winter burials.
Council heard a delegation Monday night from Vice-President of Haskett Funeral Homes Colin Haskett, who says he believes his experience helped provide council with additional facts about winter burials.
Haskett says he is pleased that council reversed their decision on winter burials.
Following his delegation Haskett got a roaring ovation from the packed audience. Haskett says he wants to thank council and Mayor Finch for a sound decision.
He adds the hope is that Haskett’s can work with the municipality instead of against them to work to keep the cemetery a beautiful place that serves the community.
