Close to 50 organizations in Huron and Perth Counties are supported by the local United Way. This year one of the focuses of their annual fundraising campaign is unignorable issues such as hunger.
Executive Director Ryan Erb says stats around hunger are staggering.
Last year the United Way locally helped 282 families accessed food skills programming in Perth and Huron. The organization also ensured over 353 thousand pounds of healthy and nutritious food was delivered to Huron and Perth food banks and agencies.
