7 Acres threw a party to mark the one year anniversary of marijuana legalization in Canada. They held the celebration at their facility in Tiverton last week.
The event was also to accept the Grow Up Award for Craft Grower of the Year.General Manager Ram Davloor says 7 Acres has become one of the fastest growing companies in Bruce County.
The company is in the midst of completing an expansion of the facility that would see 440,000 square feet of space and currently employees 700 full time people .
Davloor says five years ago when they started the operation they were hoping to get half the size of what they have now. He also hinted that their parent company, Supreme Cannabis, will be opening up a retail cannabis store and it could be in Bruce County.
