Lianne Rood is your new MP for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex. Rood defeated five other opponents quite handily, as the former Bev Shipley staffer will return to Ottawa but as a representative for the riding. She says she’s really excited to get started.
She says she’s disappointed to not have Andrew Scheer as Canada’s Prime Minister, but is excited to be working with everyone in Ottawa nonetheless.
Two things Rood says she’ll be fighting for right away is rural broadband internet and military veterans. She thanked everyone for the support and all of the kind messages she received throughout the campaign.
