Dylan McLay says they were more surprised about the support the Liberals got in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex than anything else. The NDP MP candidate was one of five people who fell to Conservative Lianne Rood for the vacant seat Monday night (oct 21), a result he’s obviously not happy with.
He says there’s always been a strong core of supporters here in the riding, and in the coming years they’re going to continue to work on growing it.
Mclay agreed when asked that it could’ve been possible strategic voting was against him in the riding when he mentioned his surprise to the support Liberal Jesse McCormick got in the polls. He finished second behind Rood, one spot higher than Mclay.
