It’s a work in progress but the finish line is almost in reach. The Huron Shores Transit Committee is inching towards having public transportation on the ground after a long process of working towards this point.
Co-chair Glen Baillee says it hasn’t always been smooth sailing, as they vie to connect local communities both with longer distance and short distance public transportation.
He said they brought in a consultant and focus groups to discuss and gauge opinions on preferred routes, which will be presented to Lambton Shores council, in a way the last obstacle, sometime in November.
If council likes their ideas and presentation, Baillee says they have to get wheels on the road by next March, but at this point it’s still not guaranteed.
