OneCARE is a Community Support Service offered to seniors and persons with disabilities in Huron and Perth Counties. It’s an important program to have available, says its Communications & Engagement Specialist Shelly McPhee-Haist.
She says they have over 700 volunteers while also having great staff as well. They lead programs like meals on wheels, helping adult day programs as well as leading exercise and wellness classes.
They have a strong relationship with United Way Perth-Huron, with McPhee-Haist saying they help OneCARE keep their transportation fees low and affordable. They had over 62,000 trips last year.
