Lest we forget. Many areas are doing Remembrance Day ceremonies this weekend and on Monday, and myFM is highlighting some local ones.
In Exeter, the Remembrance Day Parade and Cenotaph Service takes place on Sunday, November 10th. The Cenotaph services begins at 10 AM with the parade forming up at the Exeter Legion at 9:45 AM. Following the Cenotaph service, everyone is invited to the Exeter United Church for a service.
On Remembrance Day the Exeter Legion is hosting a Remembrance Day Banquet with social hour beginning at 6 PM and dinner and a ceremony beginning at 7 PM. Visit the Exeter Legion to get tickets for only $15 dollars.
IN GRAND BEND:
The Grand Bend Legion is participating in the Remembrance Day ceremony at the Grand Bend Public School today( Friday).
Saturday sees a Veterans appreciation dinner. Sunday will feature a Remembrance Day service hosted by the Huron Shores United Church in Grand Bend at 10 AM. And on Remembrance Day, a service will take place at the Grand Bend Legion at 10:45 AM.
AND IN HENSALL:
The Hensall Legion is doing a Remembrance Day Service on Sunday, November 10th. The Remembrance Day Cenotaph Service will take place at 11 AM.
On Monday, November 11th, the Hensall Legion is hosting a Remembrance Day Dinner beginning with social time at 6 PM, and dinner at 7 PM.
Guest speakers Bonnie Sitter and Shirleyan English – authors of “Onion Skins and Peach Fuzz” which details the lives of young women during WWII of which Shirleyan was one.
