Fresh snow helped nab an alleged theft earlier this week. Police were called on November 11th just before 5:30 AM to a property on Thames Road west of Exeter.
The owner reported a suspicious person on the property and then saw a suspect operating an ATV on his property, and shortly after the accused was seen hiding in some bushes on the property.
Police got to the scene and the owner removed the ATV keys to prevent escape.
Officers followed fresh mud and snow prints before getting a suspicious person call on nearby Hern Line.
Police took the man into custody and learned the ATV had been stolen from Oxford County.
A 24 year old from Stratford is facing charges of possession of property obtained by crime under $5000, and failure to comply.
He has a court date scheduled for December 2nd.
