Campaign co-chair Martin Ritsma says 1 in 4 women in Canada experience a form of violence in their lifetime, and thinks a reason why domestic violence is still so commonplace today is that the conversation around it largely stopped.
United Way Perth-Huron support a number of organizations who deal with domestic violence victims and their families through support and counselling such as the Huron Women’s Shelter, Family Services Perth-Huron, and the Emily Murphy Centre.
