Today (Weds) is the day that many Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation members will be out on the picket lines for a one day strike.
Affected members include teachers at South Huron District High School, which means that schools will be closed.
The Avon Maitland District School Board has also closed elementary schools as there would not be sufficient supervision to ensure safety.
But the Huron-Perth Catholic School Board has issued a press release stating that the OSSTF job action will have no impact on schools in the Catholic board.
The OECTA the union that represents Catholic teachers requested a no board report from the conciliator November 29th.
The issuance of a no board report could take several days but will mean that the union will wait 17 days before possibly instigating job action.
