The Municipality of South Huron has established a South Huron Sports Hall of Fame Committee.
Manager of Community Services Scott Currie says there’s lots of sports history in the area and this is something they feel would be well-received.
The committee will help staff and council by increasing awareness
and recognition of local contributions to sports and athleticism, create an annual budget for the Sports Hall of Fame itself, and more.
Currie says staff will be going through the normal process of making the public aware of the new committee and gathering interest and sorting through applications to sit on it.
