Huron County OPP and the Huron Domestic Assault Review Team is inviting everyone to attend the annual National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.
The ceremony takes place at 10 AM at the Legion in Goderich.
The ceremony will see the laying of fourteen red roses to remember the 14 young women tragically shot and killed at the l’École Polytechnique de Montréal on December 6, 1989.
The theme of this years campaign is Our Actions Matter.
Police say that no one person, police service or government can end gender-based violence, and it up to everyone to create safe homes, workplaces and communities.
