Minister of Environment, Conservation and Parks for Ontario Jeff Yurek has announced the provinces next steps in their plan to tackle climate change.
Yurek announced late last week that the province has established a new advisory panel that will focus on climate change. The advisory panel will consist of experts on climate change resiliency who have experience in a variety of sectors including agriculture and insurance sectors.
Yurek says that he believes that this will help get them where they need to be when it comes to the 2030 targets.
Yurek says that he is proud of the progress that has been made so far and he looks forward to the advisory panel’s advice on how they can continue to take action when it comes to climate change.
