Eco Exeter is getting some grant funding. The group is getting $6500 dollars from the RBC Future Launch Community Challenge through the Grand Bend Community Foundation.
Grade 10 student at South Huron District High School, Erin Mathers says Eco Exeter has some big ideas for the funds.
The efforts of Eco Exeter are contagious, as the Grade 12s are also getting involved in the program.
The SHDHS grade 12s have sent out emails and letters to all the service groups locally asking them to take a pledge to not use plastic water bottles, straws or styrofoam at meetings and events and the results will be released in the new year.
