myFM continues its Year in Review bringing you comments from various people and organizations about the year that was 2019.
Lucan-Biddulph mayor Cathy Burghardt-Jesson said there were lots of highlights from the year, including the continued residential and economic growth of the community as well as the ever-evolving Baconfest.
But none shined brighter perhaps than the work of a local minor hockey league team that sparked a conversation about mental health, featuring a long-time NHL personality.
Burghardt-Jesson says like every municipality the beginning of the year brought its challenges with mixed messages being sent down from the province in terms of funding. But as 2019 progressed things settled down and Lucan-Biddulph even got cash infusions and grants approved by the province.
Growth continues to be the focus on 2020 as the mayor said they have lots of upcoming projects they need to continue to review land and logistics for future growth.
