An Exeter woman has joined the Ausable Bayfield Maitland Valley Drinking Water Source Protection Committee as the new public-at-large representative.
Alyssa Keller is volunteering with the SPC who work to create policies to protect local sources of municipal drinking water from possible threats such as fuel, chemicals, nutrients, pesticides, livestock grazing, and hazardous waste in areas near the wells.
Keller currently works for Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. as Water and Wastewater Operator and previously worked for the Municipality of South Huron with the Transportation Services and Environmental Services Department and sits on the South Huron Climate Change Adaptation Advisory Committee.
