A couple of bursaries are available to post-secondary school grads who are doing research on the health of Lake Huron. The Lake Huron Centre for Coastal Conservation is taking applications for the Geoff Peach Scholarship.
Two people will receive $1,500 each and Executive Director Erinn Lawrie tells us the eligibility criteria .
Lawrie says the scholarship fund is named after their co-founder who died in 2017.
She says Peach was an advocate and voice for the coastal region for 30 years.
Applications must be submitted by January 30th and more information can be found on the Lake Huron Centre for Coastal Conservation website.
