Mandy Migchels is a teacher and a coach at South Huron District High School. She got right into coaching 16 years ago when she became a teacher.
She said she wanted to provide the same experiences she had herself as a student on a number of different teams and sports.
Migchels says she gets really good relationships with the students out of coaching and that’s important to have.
Time management for the students, getting them to games and practices can be tough. With homework, jobs, and sports outside of school, Migchels says that’s a constant battle to have the bodies they need.
She says she’s proud of all the students she’s coached. There’s no moment or accomplishment that stands out for her above the rest.
