The municipality of North Middlesex is receiving almost $290,000 from the province as part of a $200 million total infrastructure investment across Ontario.
Mayor Brian Ropp praised the cash infusion, saying this lets them focus on their larger-scaled projects, even if this funding won’t be going to them.
He says this funding will likely go to maintenance on roads and bridges. He also spoke highly of Lambton-Kent-Middlesex MPP Monte McNaughton for listening to what they need and delivering.
More than $11 million is on its way for 14 local municipalities in the riding.
