Last week a judge ruled the Roaring Cat Retreat in Grand Bend had to get rid of the 12 big cats by this Wednesday, February 5th.
Roaring Cat Retreat Owners Mark and Tammy Drysdale tells myFM that they have tried to find arrangements but have been unsuccessful.
Mark says the Municipality also offered help but the solution isn’t possible.
Mark says all the animals were raised by him so a move isn’t a simple thing as it could have negative impacts on the animals.
myFM asked the couple what could happen if the cats are still at the Retreat on Wednesday, and they say it could be as bad as euthanizing the animals.
The Drysdales are also planning on appealing the judge’s decision, they are hoping for a stay which would protect the animals until the appeal can be heard.
myFM has reached out to Mayor Bill Weber for comment but hasn’t heard anything yet.
