An Exeter man is facing impaired driving charges following a traffic complaint over the weekend.
On February 1st, at 12:30 AM officers got a call about a possible impaired driver that was heading northbound on Highway 4 in an erratic manner.
Officers located the vehicle coming into Exeter and pulled the driver over.
Upon speaking with officers the driver displayed several signs of impairment and had difficulty putting his vehicle into park as a stationary police cruiser was nearly bumped.
The man was placed under arrested and a search turned up suspected fentanyl, and a Drug Recognition Expert confirmed that the man was impaired by drugs.
The 34-year-old from Exeter was charged with impaired driving and possession of a schedule 1 substance and will have a court date in March.
