Stabilization of the Goderich waterfront is going along better than they had hoped.
That according to Mayor John Grace who delivered an update to Council recently.
Grace says crews were able to get right in and laid down the stones so that the water plant and the road in front of the old Beach Street Station building is saved.
He says having a local company do the work attributed to the fast results.
Grace says there will be times where the high water on Lake Huron will put stress on the structure but believes it will live up to the test.
He reiterated that the work on stabilizing the waterfront is expensive but needed to be done.
