It was a busy weekend in local hockey action.
In the PJHL Battle of the Highway 4 rivals, Exeter got 4 points from Ian Vandenheuvel and another 3 from rookie Ben tenHag in-game one as the Hawks would win 8-0.
Game 2 was much closer and needed overtime, but Hawks defenceman Ian Vandenheuvel would net the game-winner to give the Hawks a 4-3 win.
Exeter leads the best of 7 series 2-0.

Thamesford leads Port Stanley 2 games to none
North Middlesex trails Dorchester 2 games to none,
Mt. Brydges leads Alymer 2-0
Kincardine leads Goderich 2 games to 1
And Mitchell has a commanding 3-nothing lead over Hanover, thanks to Jarett Bogden who got the overtime winner in game one, and Tyson Hall who scored the lone goal in game two in triple overtime.

In the WOAA first round of the playoffs.
Clinton struck first with a 3-2 win, but Seaforth battled back in game two with a 4-1 win.
The series is tied 1-1, with game 3 on Friday.
