The Huron County Ontario Provincial Police Crime Unit is currently investigating a home invasion robbery that took place this weekend near Huron Park.
On Sunday at approximately 12:25 a.m. Huron County OPP officers responded to a residence located on Mount Carmel Drive after receiving a call about a home invasion attempted robbery.
Investigation has determined three male suspects confronted one of the homeowners at their doorstep and forced their way into the home. Immediately one of the suspects assaulted the victim with a weapon and started making demands for money. While this was happening another family member in the home was able to call 9-1-1.
As soon as the suspects realized police had been called the suspects immediately fled the home and ran to a SUV that was waiting nearby.
The suspects were believed to be all males. Two were wearing all black with hooded sweatshirts, gloves and face coverings. The third suspect is described as being over 6 feet tall and he was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with a covering over his face.
