United Way Perth-Huron have reached 86% of their fundraising goal of over $1.633 million.
With about a month to go, that puts them around $200,000 left to raise to hit the target.
Campaign Co-Chair Martin Ritsma says this funding will help thousands of people in need.
The numbers are still being added up for the Paint the Town Red event held earlier this month, as over 120 business supported the initiative where some of the proceeds made during the day went to United Way. Scotiabank is making a matching donation up to $15,00 as well. Ritsma said the day couldn’t have gone better.
