Home buyers in Ontario will soon have more assurances when it comes to dealing with realtors.
Proposed guidelines would lead to higher educational standards for aspiring realtors and would a stronger disciplinary system for realtors that break the rules.
Former president of the Ontario Real Estate Association Ray Ferris says that this has been a long time coming.
Ferris explains the guidelines are moving ahead.
Ferris adds that the changes should give consumers more confidence when they deal with an Ontario realtor, commenting that the province now has the highest professional standards for realtors anywhere in North America.
