Huron Perth Public Health has confirmed the first case of COVID-19 in Huron County.
The person affected is a 64 year old man from St. Mary’s who recently traveled to Mexico.
The man had been self isolating but went to the hospital for unrelated reasons, before he tested positive.
The man is at the Stratford Hospital in serious condition.
A woman in her 50s from Middlesex County has also tested positive for COVID-19.
