Huron Perth Public Health along with the Ontario Ministry of Health has strengthened recommendations when it comes to COVID-19.
Both are recommending closures of recreation programs, libraries, churches, and other faith settings, daycares, private schools, and all bars and restaurants unless take and delivery is offered.
Dr. Miriam Klassen the Medical Officer of Health for Huron and Perth said in a statement (Quote) ” “These recommendations to further encourage residents to undertake social distancing at this time, will help protect the health of Huron and Perth residents.”
Everyone in the province is encouraged to stay home unless necessary and those who have to be out are asked to limit their interactions with other people.
Residents are asked to self-quarantine if they have traveled anywhere outside of Canada including the United States.
The Public Health Agency of Canada has also updated recommendations advising people to postpone, cancel or decrease the size of mass gatherings to less than 50 people.
