The Huron Chamber of Commerce Goderich, Central, and North Huron is optimistic that businesses along the Lake Huron shoreline will rebound once the COVID-19 pandemic passes.
The Chamber was involved in a conference call with the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation, and Trade Vic Fedeli, and several other chambers of commerce.
Executive Director Mark Woodward says what he is hearing from farmers is about how the pandemic could affect growing season.
Woodward says Fedeli talked about how both provincial and federal governments are prepared to help businesses affected by the outbreak.
He says attention will first be paid to the medical profession before there is any talk about how local businesses will be compensated.
Woodward says the Lake Huron shoreline is one of the most beautiful places to be in the summer and once everyone is allowed out of the house, they will want to go here for a vacation
