Prime Minister Justin Trudeau continued his daily announcement on Tuesday.
He talked about passing bills today in the House of Commons that will get supports to Canadians as soon as possible. Trudeau said that everyone in parliament must work together er to get this done.
A flight from Peru and another coming from Morocco was confirmed by the Prime Minister who also said the government is working on securing more flights to people abroad.
Trudeau said he is unsure how long Canada will be impacted by COVID-19 but he stressed that people, especially those returning home via planes, must self isolate for 14 days.
The Prime Minister said people must stay home if possible to stop the spread, because if healthcare workers get sick then they can’t help other people who have gotten sick.
He said the government hasn’t ruled anything out and will put the Federal Emergency Act in place if needed.
