Today is World Autism Awareness Day and although we can’t celebrate in schools or by holding a flag raising at City Hall, a myFM listener had a great idea and it’s something we can still do. Melissa LaChaine reached out to us and told us that her 5 year old son Edmond who has autism really loves rainbows.
They came up with the idea to celebrate World Autism Awareness Day by asking everyone to post rainbows in their windows or draw them in their driveways to show their support and show awareness.
LaChaine says that although rainbows are not usual the symbol of awareness for autism, everyone could use a reminder that after the storm there is a rainbow.
