The first confirmed case of COVID-19 has been confirmed in a Listowel area resident.
A female in her 70s has been hospitalized at the Listowel Memorial Hospital, and Huron Perth Public Health is following up with close contacts of the confirmed case.
To date there have been 31 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Huron and Perth, which includes cases at two long-term care homes.
Two deaths have been reported, one person in St. Marys and one long-term care resident at Greenwood Court in Stratford.
