A decision on what to do about summer programs in South Huron has been delayed until May 19th.
During Monday night’s council meeting which was held online due to COVID-19, a report was brought to council about what to do about summer programs.
It was recommended by Megan Goss, the Public Works Manager that South Huron cancel the summer playground program, all aquatics programs and the Canada Day festivities.
Goss also said she was seeking council direction as the Municipality usually hires roughly 28 seasonal summer workers, as well as parents wondering what programming will be available during the summer months.
During council discussion, councillors said there were still too many unknowns to make a decision.
