Huron County is getting over 708 thousand dollars from the Province’s Social Services Relief Fund in response to COVID-19.
Roughly $400 thousand is going to help people in need including people living in community housing, supportive housing, homelessness and other vulnerable people.
The County is also teaming up with the United Way of Perth Huron and providing $100 thousand into the not-for-profit stream.
The remaining $208 thousand will be used to fill the gaps and needs in the County.
A County group is reaching out to key stakeholders to identify the gaps.
